Packing With Ziplock Bags

One of my favorite travel tips is packing utilizing bags that zip lock. You heard it right, the same thing you put your left overs in, I use while packing our luggage!

Having the clothing packed in the bags keeps them together, and also moving the bags from a suitcase to drawers in the hotel is easier and quicker when items are bagged rather than loose (not to mention providing extra security from possible bed bug exposure when the bag is kept closed).

When the kids were young this worked great for organizing what they were going to wear everyday of our vacation. It was easier for my husband or my older children to help the little ones get ready in the morning since each bag was always labeled by day and kid.

It is also great to have these bags with you in case your wet swim wear has not had the proper time to dry before packing away. If you are anything like me, you enjoy utilizing a later flight home to enjoy the last day of your vacation by the pool. We love that last minute swim before heading to the airport. Now you can keep the rest of your luggage protected and dry.

Finally, I always loved the bags the most for the times when I was coming home with some clean clothes still unworn and mixed in with dirty laundry. You all know you have had to wash many clean clothes just because they were packed along with those stinky dirty ones, now you can come home and put away the clean ones without washing them! I hope this travel tip helps you while packing on your next adventure!

Never too old to learn, plan on using this tip next time Joe and I travel. When we were in Cape May 2 weeks ago, we brought home chiggers - not fun.
