DISNEY PARKS ADOPT SEASONAL PRICING ON 1-DAY TICKET

Picture
Yesterday Disney announced that Walt Disney World is adopting seasonal pricing on their 1 day park tickets. Some of you may be familiar with this since Universal Orlando has been doing it for years. Let us go ahead and explain how it works.

Each month is divided into value, regular and peak days. So if you are planning to visit in September, you will have some additional options, including value dates, which will give you the opportunity to pay less for a 1-Day ticket. If you plan to visit during a peak period, lets say around Christmas time, you will pay more. In the long run purchasing a 1-Day ticket in a non-peak period, or choosing multi-day ticket and annual passes, will save you money and be less expensive.

Another change is that any 1-Day tickets sold on or after Sunday, Feb. 28 for Walt Disney World Resort will expire at the end of the next calendar year. For example, 1-day tickets sold in 2016 will expire on Dec. 31, 2017. The amount paid for an unused, expired ticket may be applied towards the purchase of a new ticket at the current price.

Sound a little confusing? Planning a vacation to Walt Disney World can be extremely overwhelming. Figuring out the best time to visit to get the most out of your dollar, securing dining reservation, booking Fast Pass + selections, and more can leave you tired and stressed. There has never been a better time to use a Starstuff Travel Planner who will work endlessly for you to make sure you have the family vacation of your dreams, and the best part, we do it for free as long as you book your trip with our agency. Universal Orlando increases theme park ticket prices

Universal Orlando has raised their ticket prices as of yesterday, with a one-day base ticket going from a cost of $102.00 jumping to $105. A park-to-park ticket that previously cost $147.00 now costs $155. The park-to-park ticket is required to ride the Hogwarts Express train that links both Harry Potter lands at Universal's two theme parks.
We expect the possibility of Walt Disney World increasing their ticket pricing as well following the hike of Universal Orlando's ticket boost yesterday. If you are even contemplating a WDW vacation this year we advise that you place your vacation on hold for a small deposit of $200.00 to be able to reserve prices as they are today before the news of a ticket increase is announced. Reach out to a Starstuff Travel Planner today to hold your WDW vacation before the increase.

90 DAYS OF EPCOT INTERNATIONAL FLOWER & GARDEN FESTIVAL FUN

Picture
The Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival will return to Walt Disney World® Resort March 2-May 30, 2016 – expanding from 75 to 90 days. Here’s a look at what’s new as the festival celebrates its 23rd year!
New culinary creations at the festival’s Outdoor Kitchens will introduce fresh variety and flavor to the offerings at a record 13 festival kiosks surrounding the World Showcase Promenade.  This year, La Isla Fresca takes your Clients to the Caribbean for authentic bites, including Jamaican Braised Beef with Pigeon-Pea Rice and Jerk-Spiced Grouper or Chicken with Mango Salsa. And, at the new Cider House, a Field Greens salad with greens harvested at The Land pavilion, heirloom apples, Stilton cheese and dried blueberries will pair well with blueberry hard cider from Plant City, Florida.
At the park entrance, the first-ever Huey, Dewey and Louie topiaries will feature floral interpretations of Donald’s mischievous nephews inspired by the 1943 Donald Duck comic book called “The Victory Garden.”
A new hands-on Harmony Gardens musical playground will debut featuring Disney’s Fab Five topiaries of “band leader” Mickey Mouse, as well as Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto and Donald Duck. With the playground’s interactive drums, chimes and xylophones, kids can create their own musical sounds.
And, as in previous years, each weekend at the Festival Center, your Clients can dig in for a complimentary hands-on Gardening Seminar experience as they get tips from experts on a broad range of topics.
Plus, the Garden Rocks concert series returns with music spanning four decades. Blood, Sweat & Tears featuring Bo Bice, BRIAN HOWE, former lead singer of Bad Company, Georgia Satellites and Darlene Love make their Festival debut this year. Here’s the lineup (subject to change without notice):
  • March 4-6 – The Orchestra starring former members of ELO “Evil Woman”
  • March 11-13 – Starship starring Mickey Thomas “We Built This City”
