5 Reasons To Visit Walt Disney World In 2018

Picture
1. TOY STORY LAND IS OPENING:
The land is scheduled to open sometime late Spring, early Summer with amazing family attractions such as Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers and of course, Toy Story Mania. The land will be full of color containing giant building blocks and game board pieces.

2. DISNEY SPRINGS WILL HAVE EIGHT NEW RESTAURANTS:
For starters, Terralina Crafted Italian, which will be featuring dishes by James Beard Award-winning Chef Tony Mantuano, will replace Portobello Country Italian Trattoria. The Edison, which opened to a sold out crowd this passed New Years Eve, is themed like a 1920s power plant. You will find this establishment serving American food and craft cocktails. When you visit here, you will run into exotic people like Palm readers, DJs, and contortionists. The various rooms in this restaurant will be The Lab performance space, The Ember Parlour, Telegraph Lounge, The Patent Office, The Tesla Lounge, The Radio Room, and Waterfront Patio. Mario & Enzo’s Ristorante (Dining Plans will not be accepted here), Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar, and Pizza Ponte (also not accepting Dining Plans) are said to be opening shortly as well. Wine Bar George will be opening soon also, offering shareable small plates and more than 100 wine selections from acclaimed wineries and up-and-coming regions. Jaleo will be opening on the West Side and deliver a menu with a Spanish flair. Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill will also open sometime over in the Town Center area of Disney Springs.

3. DISNEY SPRINGS RESORTS NOW OFFERING ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:
Disney recently announced they are adding Extra Magic Hours and 60-day FastPass+ booking at these hotels near Disney Springs: B Resort & Spa, Best Western Lake Buena Vista, DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando, Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, Holiday Inn Orlando, and Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista. Although these hotels have shuttle service to the parks, they’re not as frequent as Disney transportation. That being said, it could be a great alternative for those who can not afford to stay directly on property to also enjoy those added benefits!

4. EPCOT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS IS BACK:
The festival was such a success last year with it's unique food offerings and vendor workshops that it is coming back again! Disney Master Artists, Kevin-John will be attending this year as well. The festival will be running January 14th thru February 19th, 2018.

5. POP CENTURY RESORT REFURBISHMENT WILL BE COMPLETED:
This resort has received it's first major update since opening in late 2003. All rooms will be equipped with hardwood when all is finished by late May this year. Beds have now been updated from a double to a queen and the art work above the bed has changed. It is so nice to have the option of a value resort with an clean update when you need to save your money but want to stay on property!
