Heat, crowds, and long lines can really be tough for families traveling with children. What are some things you do to plan your days strategically while away so you can enjoy the time without too much overload on you and your family? When traveling to theme parks, do you visit the parks for half the day then head back to the resort for a dip in the pool then head back later on? Do you start out later in the day when others maybe leaving the park? Share your stories here so we all can collect advice from others. It may be helpful for your next vacation.

My family likes to wake up early, catch a quick bite (Unless we are doing a character breakfast) and head straight to the park. Sometime after a late lunch we will head back to the resort and enjoy the pool and maybe even a nap. We like to freshen up and have a late sit down dinner and take advantage of whatever park (WDW) is offering the Extra Magic Hours that day. Now that some of our kids are older, our last WDW vacation we were even able to leave our older son and daughter at the park to enjoy sometime on their own while we took our youngest back to the pool and all meet up for dinner. It really made the two older ones feel special and it gave us sometime with our little guy in the pool.
