Being a part of vendor events puts us in front of many people. The people we speak to may have different loves of travel, different passions for different places, but there is always one thing in common for everyone, they want someone they can trust with building the ideal dream vacation for them.
I hear from many other agencies that they are surprised we are doing the vendor events since we are a web-based company. Even yesterday an agent from a brick and mortor shop stopped by tochat and told us how she admired us for being out there talking to people. I am always a bit taken back by that. Specially since we are a web-based company, it is that much more important for us to get out into the community and reach out to potential clients and let them know we are more than just an email or a phone call. Each one of us has a passion for what we do and what we specialize in. That passion can easily be lost between the lines of an email without a human interaction sometimes. It is so nice for someone to put a face to a web based company. It is much easier to see how much we adore what we do for a living when you can see our faces light up when we are talking to you in person! I remember taking a compliance course for an old employer about losing the meaning when writing and reading emails or texts messages and how the meaning can be different to whoever is reading the message. It is so true and so hard to sometimes relay the message of how much we really are vested into making someone's dreams come true on their travels. The home based travel agent industry is booming and has a lot to offer not only us agents but to consumers as well. However, it is also nice to be able to meet your agent when you can just to get that personal connection if you are working locally with someone. We love the ability to reach out to people when we can. We have many events planned for the near future, so if you are local come by and say hello.

6/6/2014 0 Comments I See Mickey This week I was totally "Mickey" inspired for some of our breakfast and snacks. For starters this Mickey Face french toast is super easy to create and in all honesty it happened by sheer mistake. As usual I just happened to notice the 'Ears' on the crust and decided to just cut away some of the bread to create a face shaped like Mickey with a sharp knife (and yes for those of you who know me I still have all of my fingers!)
The cupcakes were also super easy, however I envisioned them to look a little nicer but I did this on a very short amount of time (5 minutes) they still came out cute. I purchased low cost frosting from the dollar store which was a complete mistake! Note to self.........not everything from dollar store is usable (YUCK!) Just purchase white frosting (splurge for good frosting) mix some with red food coloring while keeping some of the frosting plain white. Frost with the red, place a few white dots (I placed white frosting in Ziplock and cut tip off for cheap piping bag) and take an oreo and break it in half and Viola you have a Mickey cupcake! If you have more than the 5 minutes to dedicate to this cupcake it will come out like a master piece! Please share your cupcakes or any type of Mickey inspired foods at our online even called I See Mickey on our Facebook Page! 6/1/2014 0 Comments Disney's Boardwalk Promenade![]() One of my favorite off the radar places in WDW is the Disney's Boardwalk entertainment promenade. Not many know but it is actually just a short walk from the International Gateway in Epcot's World Showcase as well as a short peaceful boat ride from Hollywood Studios. With their evening street performers, unique shops, and fun Mid-Way Games, it reminds me of being on the Atlantic City Boardwalk during the turn of the century. There are many amazing options for dining as well as sweets. Home to the famous Flying Fish Cafe that also offers the amazing opportunity to Dine With An Imagineer where you can actually dine while enjoying fascinating discussion with the minds behind the Disney Magic! After Dinner I love to take in the beautiful Boardwalk scenery while taking a stroll and sometimes even renting a bicycle and peddling around the pier. Those of you who know me will know I would not be able to walk the Boardwalk without stopping in the Boardwalk Bakery for some amazing sugary goodness! I would highly recommend taking sometime to visit Disney's Boardwalk during your next stay at Walt Disney World. There is something for everyone and any age to enjoy! |
