4/28/2019 0 Comments Hilton Orlando Buena Vista PalaceEveryone knows how great the Hilton brand is, but when you put it within walking distance to Disney Springs in Orlando, Florida you can not go wrong! This hotel has recently went through a multi-million dollar renovation and it shows. Since we truly love the Disney Springs area and also wanted more space, we decided to stay in one of their Island Suites. This suit has one bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchenette, and if your lucky enough to be on the first floor, direct pool access! The resort is perfect for all types of travelers. Whether your a family that would enjoy the space of larger suites and an amazing pool area to adults traveling without children who love to be close to the Disney Springs area, this is the right resort for you! There are some great dining options at the resort including LetterPress, a sit down dining that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with views of Blake Lake. This restaurant also offers breakfast with Disney characters every Sunday, Shades the pool bar and grill, a very classy bar off of the lobby called Sunnies, and my favorite, Citrus 28 which is a gourmet market for your quick grab and go items. One of the many amenities your resort fee includes is access to DVD rentals. In our Island Suite we had two DVD players, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. One of the things our children looked forward to every night after we left the parks was renting a new movie to watch. During this trip we relaxed by the pool everyday before heading out to venture. This resort hosts one of my favorite pools. There were always enough tubes to grab and float along the lazy river. There was another pool a few steps away where you had room to swim without bumping into anyone. Both the lazy river and the pool were heated and always just to the right temp. They also have cabanas to rent that hold up to six people with ceiling fans, a daybed and chairs, fruit platter on arrival and table service. The resort offers shuttle transportation to and from the Walt Disney World parks and is within walking distance to the Disney Springs area via a pedestrian bridge. There are two buildings on the resort complex. The Tower building which is attached to the main area where you check in as well as where the all the restaurants are situated and the Island building. You have many choices for views as well, including, Epcot Fireworks, Resort, Disney Springs, and more. We just loved our Island suite with a view of the Characters In Flight hot air balloon in the morning while drinking our coffee or while we were waiting for a bus to the park! We have stayed in almost every single hotel in the Orlando area and I will admit this could be one of my favorites. With a moderate price point, you get so much for your money. We truly enjoyed having more room, being able to walk over to Disney Springs, and enjoying the resorts lazy river.
