For a long time Las Vegas has been known for the catch phrase "What Happens In Vegas, Stays In Vegas" but I am here to tell you there is so much more to this amazing place. I can safely say I would personally vacation here with my own family without thinking twice. It reminds me of a hugely over sized Downtown Disney from California's Disneyland area. I would love to tell you why I think this is a great place to vacation with your family! I have been fortunate enough to stay at the Paris Hotel and Casino twice this past year. All I can say is location, location, location. Paris is centrally located right in the heart of the Strip near Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, which means it's really easy to walk to several other tourist attractions and major hotels nearby. After arriving by Lyft in a 10 minute car ride from the airport, we paid the early check in fee of $22.00 and we were happy to find out we were staying in one of the newly renovated 'Burgundy rooms'. Paying the early check in fee allowed us to get into our room as early as 9:45am! One of the reasons I love this hotel for a family vacation is that it really tries to give you an authentic Parisian experience, right down to the cobblestone streets that are featured in some of the hotel main area. While the Paris Las Vegas' replica of the Eiffel Tower is actually about half the size of the original one, it's still a very impressive attraction. Something fun to do while staying at this hotel is to ride the beautiful glass elevator to the top of the tower, which provides spectacular views of the Fountains of Bellagio, the Strip and the outlying city. While we were visiting we did enjoy an early lunch at the top of the Eiffel Tower Restaurant for an unforgettable meal with dramatic views of the Bellagio Fountains. If you have children who are not picky eaters like I have, then they would do just fine here. Another fun thing I enjoy about this area is that it is attached to the Grand Bazzar Shops (you can enter thru Ballys which is attached to Paris or enter from the outside on the strip). Here you can explore a multitude of shops, dining options and watch a sparkling light-and-sound show every night at 9 p.m. and 12 midnight. This neat show features a unique hexagonal LED rooftop canopy, designed just for the Grand Bazaar Shops, featuring an energetic light show set to custom-created themed soundtracks. Then if your a Wahlburgers fan you can stop in and dine at one of their newer locations here. On the days you want to hang at the hotel but still have some fun your family can enjoy the hotel pool and marvel at the sight of the Eiffel Tower or even enjoy some Twilight Zone Glow in the Dark mini golf over at Ballys which is attached to Paris. As stated earlier, this hotel is in the central area of the strip. It made it so convenient to walk all over and the weather was beautiful. One of my favorite things that we did was to walk down to Treasure Island and attend the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. which is an interactive exhibit that brings you into the world of the Avengers. This exhibit was way better than I even expected. The great thing about this exhibit, is that all ages are welcome. Visitors have access to intelligence files, classified studies, experiments, all while training themselves to become an official agent of the S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Our VIP guide was so immersed in his role you felt he was truly a part of the story. The best part was that you are allowed to take as many pictures and video as you want! (To see full length of picture click on it) We did manage to also squeeze some shopping into our trip, which is not hard to do with all of the malls located in many of the hotels! One of my favorite places that we visited was the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. This mall offers over 1.2 miles of shopping and dining and will not disappoint. Offering something for everyone and the token "Sugar Factory" to bribe your younger ones while your trying on one too many pairs of shoes! Another great area on the other side of the strip was "The Park". MGM Resorts has re-imagined the traditional pedestrian experience by creating a dynamic destination located just off the famed Las Vegas Strip. Whether you’re looking for a spot to gather with the family or to grab a quick bite before an epic show, The Park and T-Mobile Arena offer something for everyone In the middle of Las Vegas, there's a place with 180 acres of adventure. A place to release your inner child and let your imagination go wild. Las Vegas Springs Preserve consists of 180 acres dedicated to nature walks and displays and is owned and operated by the Las Vegas Valley Water District. The Preserve is located approximately three miles west of the downtown area and is easy to get to. Whether you have a rental car or you utilize a ride share, this is a must visit place for you and your family while in the area. While our pictures do not do this area justice because we were there during a private function so it was closed to the public, you can get a general feeling of how beautiful it is here. I can really go on and on about how strongly I feel about visiting Las Vegas with your family. Between the shows, the attractions, day trips, dining, etc. there is so much to do here, you would need a few trips just to see everything. I have some additional pictures from our time in Vegas for you to enjoy below. As for the traditional Vegas motto, my new motto is "What happens in Vegas, needs to happen together with family".
